How to join Élevé in Barcelona

Joining Élevé starts with a conversation. Send an invitation enquiry, wait for the team's reply and complete the remaining checks in person. A submitted form is an acknowledgement of your request, not membership or guaranteed entry.

Five steps to membership

Applicants must be 18 or over. Residents and short-stay visitors may enquire; no existing-member sponsor is required by Élevé. Share your contact details and intended visit date so the team can plan your introduction.

  1. 01

    Ask for an invitation

Use the form with your name, email, mobile number, preferred language and visit date. Add a message if you wish, or enquire on WhatsApp at +34 654 91 54 23. We aim to reply within one opening day. Check your email's spam folder and follow up on the same conversation if you have heard nothing after 24 hours; avoid sending repeated forms.

  2. 02

Wait for a reply and plan arrival

The team reviews your enquiry and confirms whether to attend, the documents to bring and a suitable arrival time. Please wait for that reply. First registrations run from 09:00 until 23:00; allow around 15 minutes at Carrer d'Aragó 189, 08011 Barcelona. Tell us if you will be late.

  3. 03

    Show your original ID

At reception, show a valid passport or national ID card. Staff check identity and age before continuing. Each person is checked separately, including friends arriving together. If your document is unsuitable or expired, registration pauses until an accepted original can be presented.

  4. 04

    Complete your membership

Read the membership conditions, discuss any questions and confirm that you understand the house rules. The fee is €20 for a 12-month membership period, beginning on registration. Staff confirm the expiry date with you. No payment is requested through the website enquiry form.

  5. 05

    Settle into the lounge

Once your registration is accepted and completed, reception introduces the spaces and explains returning visits. Your membership belongs to you alone; friends need their own approval and registration. Our first-visit guide covers what happens after arrival.

Thank you. The team will reply by email with your introduction and what to bring.

Which identification is accepted

A residence document can support a conversation about your circumstances, but Élevé asks for a passport or national ID card for its identity check. A NIE number or TIE alone does not replace that document here. Check the document guide before travelling if you are unsure.

Accepted

  • Original, valid passport
  • Original, valid national ID card

Not accepted

  • Student cards
  • Driving licences
  • Photocopies
  • Photos on a phone

Questions about joining

Élevé considers individual enquiries from adults visiting Barcelona and does not require an existing member to introduce them. That is our application policy, not a rule for every association. Read the visitor guide before arranging a first visit.

No. A reply inviting you to attend allows the in-person checks to begin. Staff still need to confirm your identity, eligibility and agreement with the club's conditions before accepting registration.

Explain the issue before setting out. Staff can clarify the document requirement, but an image of a passport or an expired document cannot complete registration. Arrange another time once you have an accepted original.

Keep your original ID available for checks on later visits. Membership lasts 12 months; renewal is completed at reception after a review of your details and the current conditions. Our membership guide explains expiry and interruptions.

After one opening day, reply to your existing message or use the details on our contact page. Include the name and date used for the enquiry. Please do not treat silence or a form confirmation as permission to arrive.
