At a glance
- Keep other members out of photographs and recordings.
- Ask before moving chairs or joining someone else's table.
- Keep audio private and calls brief.
- Leave doors, circulation routes and the outside pavement clear.

A photograph with someone in the background
Do not take it. Élevé's rule is no photos of other members, including incidental reflections or people at a nearby table. Ask staff before photographing an empty interior; pause if someone enters the frame. A room being attractive is not an invitation to film everyone in it.
The same care applies to video calls. Turn the camera away from the lounge and avoid broadcasting conversations. If someone is recording you, ask staff for help rather than beginning a confrontation across the room.
Joining a table or arriving with friends
An empty stool is not always an unused seat. Ask before sitting at an occupied table, and accept a polite refusal without pressure. Check with staff before pulling several tables together, since the gaps between them also provide circulation space.
Keep coats and bags off neighbouring seats when the room is busy. A group should leave room for someone to pass without having to ask repeatedly. An unregistered companion needs their own membership process; see private access.
Calls, food and staff requests
Use headphones rather than playing audio into the room. If a call needs more than a brief response, ask staff where you can take it quietly. Lowering your voice matters even when the main room is lively.
Outside food and drink are not permitted. Raise any personal access requirement with reception beforehand. If staff ask you to adjust something, follow the instruction and discuss it calmly; they are looking after a shared room, not only one table.
The last few metres matter
Keep the entrance clear on arrival and departure. Finish longer farewells inside, collect your belongings and move away from residential doorways before arranging onward travel. Late-night voices can disturb people living beside and above the club.
If a situation feels uncomfortable, speak to reception discreetly. The club page gives the full house-rule summary; the first-visit guide explains the introduction you receive on arrival.
